The Closet and Storage Summit of 2017 in Austin, Texas has come to a close as the biggest and best Summit yet. The Summit is an event gathering of experts and companies in the closet industry that features showrooms, shop tours, and panels giving out industry wisdom. Independent closet owners and staff shared business growth strategies and networking events to learn a little more about our industry throughout the two-day conference.
Maxwell’s Closet Classics, who opened their showroom and manufacturing facility to tours, hosted this years’ Closet Summit. The Closet Summit is always for independent closet companies rather than franchises, and has grown so popular among industry players that the event frequently sells out.
Key sessions this year included “Competing Successfully With Franchises,” which provided training for smaller closet companies in taking on larger chains both in the showroom and on search engines. Also featured was a spotlight on six premiere independent closet owners to showcase their successes, as well as a session on how to properly address potential legal issues.
These insightful sessions were mixed in with meet and greets, networking meals, and round tables that encourage growing your business, learning industry best practices, and how to better serve customers and provide great services.
Each year’s summit is a great learning experience for us, and our whole team is glad to have had the opportunity to attend. The next summit promises to be even better, and we’re looking forward to participating once again!
