5 Ways to Maximize Pantry Space

A laundry room can become surprisingly disorganized if the proper storage systems aren't available or you don't have an organization plan. This makes the job of doing the wash harder than it needs to be and causes it to take longer. Here are some ideas for custom laundry room solutions in Atlanta.

Add Shelves

Many laundry rooms have the shelves over the washer and dryer, but this often isn't the best placement. Choose another wall so that you don't have to lean over the machines to get to your supplies or put them away. Be sure to make your shelves big and strong enough for all of your supplies. At the minimum, you'll need space for your usual sizes of washing detergent, fabric softener, stain remover and any other products you typically use. Your shelves also need to be deep enough to allow you to remove and replace things without having to be super-careful.

Put in a Big Table

You need a big table to be able to quickly fold your clothes right there in the laundry room. Adding one of the right height, length and strength will save you from having to suffer with makeshift solutions such as folding clothes on your bed.

Have a Cabinet or Rack Installed

If you haven't eliminated the job of ironing, you'll need somewhere to put your iron and its board when they're not in use. Leaning an ironing board against a wall often results in the board suddenly falling over. Give it a cabinet, hook or rack so it stays in place when you're not using it. This solution should have room for the iron, too, so it's always right there. Laundry room organizers don't have to look basic.
